Why Choose ANS?
At Archbishop Neale School, we work to build a community where Catholic values are at the heart of everything we do.
Since 1927, our Catholic school in La Plata, MD, has provided a faith-filled learning environment for Pre-K3 through Grade 8 students in Charles County and the surrounding areas. In addition to our superior academic curriculum, we provide programs and student activities to help foster personal growth and character.

Our Catholic Identity
Through the practice of our faith traditions and by recognizing that we are encountering Christ in our interactions with one another, Archbishop Neale School embodies a compassionate Catholic identity. Here you can explore some of the ways we celebrate and embody this identity in our day to day.
Prayer
Every school day begins and ends with school-wide prayer as well as classroom prayer. Students also pray before and after lunch.
During Lent, our 8th graders present the Living Stations of the Cross as a meditation on the suffering and death of Jesus.
Liturgical Celebrations
Reconciliation & Adoration / Benediction
Family Groups
During the school year, Family Groups gather to attend school Masses and conduct service activities for the La Plata and surrounding communities. These opportunities allow older students to participate in Mass with younger students, help each other with service projects or activities, and ‘grow up’ together as brothers and sisters in a family. At the end of the school year, Family Groups recognize their graduating 8th graders with a farewell celebration.
